Start smaller than you think

A practice you actually do beats a perfect one you skip. Five minutes, once a day, is a real beginning.

Three to try

Breathing in a box of four counts. A slow body scan from feet to face. Noticing five things you can see, four you can hear and three you can feel.

Make it a habit

Attach the practice to something you already do, like the first coffee or brushing your teeth.

You do not need a quiet room or a cushion. You need a minute you would otherwise spend scrolling.

Five minutes, once a day, is a real beginning.

A note before you go

Over a few weeks these small pauses add up. Many people find they react a little slower, sleep a little easier and notice their breath before their temper.
